If you cancel within 1 week of your appointment, and your slot cannot be filled, the payment is not refundable.
If you do not come to your appointment (“no show”), the payment is not refundable.
If you need to reschedule within one week of your appointment, and your slot cannot be filled, you may be responsible for payment.
Should the above policies present an unforseen hardship for you, please reach out to Dr. Asch. The goals of the above are simply to ensure respect for everyone’s time and to make sure we have accessible appointments, not to add burdens.
In focus, high quality photographs required*
For teledermatology to work, the doctor has to be able to adequately assess your skin problem.
Most smartphones or digital cameras can take EXCELLENT photos. Please see the “How To Take Great Photos”.
If clear, well-lit, in focus photos are not possible, Dr. Asch recommends seeing your primary care doctor or a local dermatologist, because ALL dermatologists need to see skin problems clearly to make the correct diagnosis.
*There are less common scenarios where photos may not be relevant, such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Please check with Dr. Asch if you think this fits your concern.
Share your regular doctor’s contact information
To be most successful in taking care of kids, communication from the specialist to the primary doctor is key.
Dr Asch requests you provide their contact information, so Dr. Asch can send them a letter about your child’s care.
This communication also helps primary doctors learn about special problems, so they can take care of future kids even better.
